What Happened to Dave Hollis?

Dave Hollis was an employee of the entertainment giant Disney for 17 years, where he spent seven of those years as the head of distribution. During his time with Disney, he played an instrumental role in the relaunch of the Star Wars franchise, as well as overseeing other blockbuster hits such as Frozen and Black Panther.

Despite his successful tenure with Disney, Hollis eventually found himself in a corporate rut, leading him to quit his job in 2018 to join his ex-wife, Rachel Hollis, in her work ventures. Rachel Hollis is a motivational speaker, the author of the bestseller “Girl, Wash your Face,” and the founder of her own multimedia corporation, the Hollis Company.

Dave Hollis stated in an interview with the Associated Press that he felt his new work with his ex-wife was his “calling.” Together, the couple worked on livestreams, conferences, and podcasts, including “Rise Together,” which focused on their marriage. However, the pair announced their divorce in 2020.

In addition to his work with his ex-wife, Dave Hollis is also an author in his own right, having authored three books, including a self-help book titled “Get Out of Your Own Way.”

It’s worth noting that Rachel Hollis has faced criticism in the past for her remarks, such as calling American abolitionist Harriet Tubman “unrelatable.”
