“The Masked Singer” season 9 premiered Wednesday with Dick Van Dyke leaving everyone speechless.

It was the show’s “greatest reveal ever” as judge Nicole Scherzinger was in tears upon discovering the 97-year-old Hollywood legend as the “Gnome.”

Frank Sinatra’s “When You’re Smiling” was the hit track performed by the Tony, Emmy, and Grammy winner.

In revealing the actor’s identity, Nick Cannon, 42, said, “This is the most seasoned and most decorated guest we have ever had on our show.”

There was a lot of darkness inside. In his speech to the audience, Van Dyke said, “I wasn’t able to see anything.”

As he stood on stage, Scherzinger could not help but gush over the performer.

“I love you so much, we love you, the whole world loves you so much. It’s an honor to have you on our show,” the Pussycat Dolls star said. “I can’t believe you’re here, I’m trying to play it cool. You look so gorgeous, you look so handsome.”

Jenny McCarthy, 50, said she was “blown away” by the revelation.

The 97-year-old actor told Entertainment Weekly following his appearance on the show that he was convinced nobody would guess it was him.

“I would say it’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever done. But they didn’t put a mask on me. They made a great big like Pumpkinhead thing that I had to do.”

“It was a weird experience. I had two little peepholes I can see the audience with. It’s a good thing I’m not claustrophobic,” he added with a smile.
