The biggest saving came from releasing Lewan, who was due to make $14.8 million in the final season of his five-year, $80 million contract.

By releasing him along with the other players, the Titans have saved approximately $37.7 million against their salary cap. These moves will give the Titans some financial flexibility as they look to build a competitive team for the upcoming season.

Taylor Lewan, the recently released offensive lineman, was the longest-tenured player on the Titans’ roster, having played with the team for nine years.

These injuries, coupled with his high salary, likely factored into the decision to release him from the team. Nonetheless, Lewan’s impressive career and contributions to the Titans should not be overlooked, and he will undoubtedly be missed by the team’s fans.

Taylor Lewan’s most recent ACL tear during Week 2 of the last season against the Buffalo Bills could be a significant factor in his decision to continue playing football or not. The Titans recently released him with a failed physical designation.

Meanwhile, the team had high hopes for Kenny Woods, who had an ACL tear in November 2021.

Fortunately, he worked hard on his recovery and played in all 17 games last season. Woods, who is a ten-season veteran, put up impressive stats with 53 receptions for 527 yards and two touchdowns in his only season with the Titans.

The team claimed Zach Cunningham on waivers after he was released by the Houston Texans in 2021. An elbow injury caused him to miss most of the last season, and he only played in six games, recording 24 tackles.

The Titans also released Cunningham with a failed physical designation.

Finally, the team’s kicker, Randy Bullock, had a solid season, making 17 of 20 field goal attempts and all 28 extra point attempts.
